ah! pivot door intrusion-resistance tests

RC3 certification

panoramah! has reached a new milestone in the performance of the minimalist windows system: the ah!38 Pivot Door has successfully achieved RC3 classification in intrusion-resistance tests conducted according to EN 1627:2021 European standards that specify requirements and classification systems.

The 1500×2460mm pivot window demonstrated robust behaviour across all test categories — static, dynamic, and manual intrusion attempts — meeting the demanding requirements of RC3, a class often specified for high-security residential and commercial projects.

Test Results

  • Resistance to static loads, EN 1628:2021

The door withstood gradually applied loads up to 6kN without deformation or openings that would allow gauge penetration.

  • Resistance to dynamic loads, EN 1629:2021

The system resisted a series of impacts from a 50kg pendulum dropped from 750mm, simulating real-world forced-entry attempts.

  • Resistance to manual break-in attempts, EN 1630:2021

Multiple attack simulations were performed using RC3-specific tools, with 5min of effective attack time (20min total test duration). The door maintained its integrity and prevented access, fully complying with the standard.
