project description
This structure was designed to be panoramah!’s stand at Swissbau 2020 in Basel. Swissbau is the leading trade fair and information hub for the construction industry in Switzerland.
With a deliberate architectural value, the pavilion aims to provide a real physical experience. As well to reveal the spatial qualities created by panoramah! minimalist windows, rather than being a mere products display.
Therefore, it introduces an impressive six-meter-tall structural grid raised 60cm from the ground and cladded in Alusion™ aluminium foam panels.
This monolithic structure contrasts with the lightness of the glass surfaces. In addition, it renders the different window mock-ups visible while concealing frames, railing systems and motorisation systems.
Overall, the pavilion resembles an installation, a sculptural assemblage of free-standing elements and different types of opening systems. Sliding systems and a new pivot door solution.
Additionally, this combines the ambience of an art atelier and panoramah! industrial workshops.
