This house near São Paulo (Brazil) from Jacobsen Arquitecturahas many of the components we generally associate with modern Brazilian architecture: a free, relaxed space, with few compartmentations, generously opening to the outdoors. Almost completely isolated in the landscape and facing a polo field, the villa elevates from the ground, enjoying the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

The concrete volume of the ground floor contains the bedrooms and the private areas, as a dark stone block. In contrast, the upper floor, with the common living areas, the pool and the generous terrace, is a much lighter structure covered by a wooden pergola. In fact, with its panoramah! quadrirail sliding panes, the glass walls entirely disappear when opened. This light atmosphere is reinforced by the corner solutions with an invisible frame that allows the continuity of the floor finish. It ultimately dissolves the limits between inside and outside and transforms the house in no more than a giant wood structure hovering above a large belvedere: the perfect tropical temple.
